General
This privacy policy describes the policy of AutoTrusted regarding the collection, use, storage, sharing and protection of User personal information ("Privacy Policy"). This Privacy Policy applies to autotrusted.com ("Website") and all related websites, applications, services and tools where reference is made to this policy ("Services"), regardless of how Users access the Services, including access through mobile devices. AutoTrusted is the data controller.
Scope and consent
By using AutoTrusted and related Services, you give explicit consent to AutoTrusted for the collection, use, disclosure and retention of your personal information by AutoTrusted, as described in this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
AutoTrusted may occasionally change this Privacy Policy and advises that Users read it regularly. Substantial changes to HeyAuto’s Privacy Policy will be announced on the Website. The amended Privacy Policy will be effective immediately after it is first posted on our Website.
What Personal Information Is Collected
User accounts can be made on the Website, which requires the input of certain personal information. When Users decide to provide AutoTrusted with personal information, they agree that such information is sent to and stored on AutoTrusted servers. Automatically Collected Information
When Users visit visit the Website or use AutoTrusted services, information is automatically sent from the User’s device to AutoTrusted. This information includes, but is not limited to:

Information Supplied By Users
AutoTrusted collects and stores any information that Users enter on the Website or that is provided to AutoTrusted through its Services. This information includes, but is not limited to:

Additional information that a User may provide to AutoTrusted through social media sites or third party Services;

Information provided in the context of dispute resolution, correspondence through the Website or correspondence that is sent to AutoTrusted;

AutoTrusted may receive or collect additional information about Users from third parties and add this to account information. How Personal Information Is Used
Users agree that AutoTrusted may use personal information for the following purposes:

To contact Users, by e-mail, push notification, text message (SMS) or by telephone, to inquire about AutoTrusted Services and the services of associated businesses for the purpose of targeted marketing activities, updates, and promotional offers based on your message preferences (where applicable), or for any other purposes as set forth in this Privacy Policy, and

To provide Users with other requested services, as described when the information is collected.
Sharing Information With And Registration On Social Media Sites
AutoTrusted may offer sign-on Services that enable Users to access the Website or related websites with their login credentials. AutoTrusted can also offer Services that enable Users to share information with third party social media websites, such as Facebook, Google Plus and Twitter.
If Users provide AutoTrusted access to personal information stored on third party websites, the scope of access to this personal information shall vary per website and will be determined by both the User’s own browser settings and their consent. If the User wishes to connect third party accounts to their AutoTrusted account and consents to AutoTrusted accessing the information in these third party accounts, the User agrees that AutoTrusted can collect, use and store information from this third party website in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Transfer Of User Personal Information To Third Parties
AutoTrusted may disclose User personal information to third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable legislation and regulations. As further described under Section 4, AutoTrusted will not disclose User personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without explicit consent from the User. AutoTrusted may share User personal information with:

Service providers with whom AutoTrusted has entered into an agreement to help provide Services on the Website, such as financial service providers, marketing agencies and technical support. In such cases, the personal information shall remain under the control of AutoTrusted.

Certain third parties (such as intellectual property rights holders, supervisory authorities, tax authorities, police and other regulatory authorities) if AutoTrusted is required to do so by law, or in accordance with its Privacy Policy. We may share your personal information:

Before personal information is provided, the IP owner will enter into an agreement that, inter alia, stipulates that information is only provided on the strict condition that it may only be used in the context of legal proceedings and/or obtaining legal advice and/or to answer questions from the relevant advertiser
Without limitation to the foregoing, AutoTrusted shall moreover - in its efforts to respect User privacy and to keep the website free of malicious persons or parties – not disclose User personal information to third parties without a court order or formal request from the government in accordance with applicable law, unless AutoTrusted believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to prevent impending injury or financial damages or to report alleged illegal activities.
Information Shared By Users On autotrusted.com
The Website allows Users to share listings and other information with other Users, thereby making this shared information accessible to other users. Since the Website also enables Users to directly contact a buyer or seller, AutoTrusted recommends that Users consider how they share their personal information with others. Users are solely responsible for the personal information shared through the Website and therefore cannot guarantee the privacy or security of the information shared by User with other Users.
In case Users visit the Website from a shared computer or a computer in an internet café, AutoTrusted strongly recommends that Users log off after each session. If Users do not want the shared computer to remember them and/or their credentials, they will need to remove cookies and/or the history of the website visits.
User data controller may transfer data to other members of their corporate family as described in this Privacy Policy who may process and keep User personal information on servers in North American, Europe, and elsewhere in the world.
Marketing Purposes
The User agrees that AutoTrusted may use the information collected to send offers, whether personalized or not, or to contact Users by telephone regarding products or Services offered by AutoTrusted.
AutoTrusted will not sell or rent Users' personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without explicit consent. AutoTrusted may combine User information with information we collect from other companies and use it to improve and personalize Services and functionalities.
When Users no longer wish to receive marketing communications from AutoTrusted, they can, where applicable, change their account preferences, or follow the unsubscribe link in the marketing communication received.
Advertising
If Users do not wish to participate in AutoTrusted advertising personalization using personal information or re-targeting/tracking programs, they can opt-out by following the directions provided within the applicable advertisement. The effect of an opt-out will be to stop personalized advertising, but it will still allow the collection of information for certain purposes such as usage, research, analytics and internal online services operation purposes). Users may still see non-personalized advertisements, including ads based on general geographic region. In addition to that, AutoTrusted does not allow third parties to track or collect User personal information on AutoTrusted for their own advertising purposes without explicit consent.
Cookies
When AutoTrusted Services are used, cookies (data files on a User’s phone or mobile device’s drive) may be placed or web beacons (electronic images that are placed in a web page’s code) or similar technologies. AutoTrusted uses cookies to help identify individual Users, to provide them with a better experience on the Website, to measure promotional effectiveness and to ensure trust and safety on the Website.
Accessing, Reviewing and Changing Personal Information
AutoTrusted cannot modify User personal information or account information. Users can modify their own information by logging into their AutoTrusted account.
Protection and retention of your personal information
AutoTrusted protects User information by using technical and administrative security measures (such as firewalls, data encryption, and physical and administrative access controls to the data and servers) that limit the risk of loss, abuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, and alteration. Nevertheless, if a User believes their account has been abused, please contact AutoTrusted.
AutoTrusted retains personal information no longer than is legally permissible and deletes personal information when it is no longer necessary for the purposes as described above.
Abuse and unsolicited commercial communications ("spam")
AutoTrusted does not tolerate abuse of the Website. Users do not have permission to add other AutoTrusted Users to mailing lists (e-mail or postal) for commercial purposes, even if a User has purchased something from another User, unless the User has given their explicit consent. If a User notices that someone is abusing the Website (spam or spoof emails), please notify AutoTrusted.
It is not allowed to use member-to-member communication resources to send spam or content that violates AutoTrusted Terms of Use in any other way. For User security, AutoTrusted may scan messages automatically and check for spam, viruses, phishing and other malicious activity or illegal or prohibited content. AutoTrusted does not permanently store messages sent through these resources.
Third Parties
Unless explicitly provided otherwise in this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy applies only to the use and transfer of information AutoTrusted collects from Users. AutoTrusted has no control over the privacy policies of third parties that may apply to Users. When AutoTrusted works with third parties or uses third party tools to provide certain Services, it will explicitly indicate which privacy policy applies to Users. AutoTrusted therefore encourages Users to ask questions before disclosing personal information to others.
